The Double Base Foundation AB-A2, also known as Double Container Doubling Plate Welding Foundation, is a weldable underdeck container lashing base designed for securing two twistlocks or stacking cones. It’s typically installed at the bottom of the cargo hold on container ships, forming a robust interface between the vessel structure and portable lashing devices.
Available in 203mm, 279mm (Transversal Spacing), 216mm, 258mm, or custom center-to-center configurations, this foundation supports standard ISO container arrangements and provides a shear working load of 210kN, with a breaking load of 420kN. It is fully approved by classification societies such as ABS, DNV-GL, and CCS.
